Maybank’s Private Banking Suite Redefines Affluence from a Travel Perspective

Taking the concept of luxury to new heights, MGroup embarked on a remarkable design endeavour in collaboration with Maybank for their Private Banking Suite at Maybank Tower, Singapore. At 5,000 square feet, the suite drew inspiration from the world of travel, catering to the refined tastes of Maybank's well-heeled clientele.
Around the World
With the spirit of travel as its central theme, the entire floor of the Private Banking Suite was ingeniously divided into imaginative zones. These include an airport lounge, luxury cruise, East Asian train, hot air balloon, yacht, limousine, and a private jet setting. From the moment clients set foot in the entrance foyer, they are transported into the realm of a jet-setting lifestyle.
“The vibrant concept starts at the entrance foyer designed to simulate an exclusive airport lounge. As the motorised door opens, visitors arrive at a cosy lounge area adorned with a custom-made carpet showcasing the Southeast Asia map.
The journey continues in the waiting lounge, where breathtaking vistas of the Singapore skyline and the Esplanade welcome visitors instantly. Adding an element of visual interest, the feature wall adorned with triangular gold-tinted mirror panels mirrored the iconic durian spikes of the Esplanade.
Luxury in Motion
Further along, the Private Banking Suite revealed a series of thematic meeting rooms. The boardroom, designed to resemble the luxurious interior of a private jet, mimics the experience of having high-level meetings high above the clouds. Adjacent to the lounge is a meeting room replicating a luxury cruise ship, while another discussion room overlooking Marina Bay resembles a serene sea deck with suspended glass furniture. For the adventurous traveller, a meeting room inspired by hot air balloon expeditions continues the unique theme.
While aesthetics took centre stage, MGroup also prioritised functionality and privacy. Each meeting room was equipped with acoustic and privacy features. Gypsum partitions, internal rock wool, and absorption panels enhance sound control, while electronic frosting film on the glass panels and doors offers complete privacy at the touch of a button.
