Over the past three decades, MGroup’s Principal and Managing Director, Alexis Yeong, has established himself as a distinguished design consultant, serving an impressive portfolio of clients, including Maybank, Maybank Kim Eng, CIMB Bank, OCBC, Bank of Singapore, UOB Bank, Société Générale Bank, and other major MNCs. His extensive experience and expertise have positioned him as a leader in the industry, known for delivering innovative and impactful design solutions.

In 2004, Alexis founded Metamorphosis Design Associates Pte Ltd (MD Associates) in Singapore. As the business evolved, MD Associates was restructured in 2013 to form MGroup Global Design, further strengthening its market presence. In 2018, the company was rebranded as MGroup, bringing together MGroup Global Design, Mi Associates, Artesa, and MGroup (Cambodia) under a unified brand. As of 2026, MGroup has been established for 22 years, continuing its legacy of excellence in design consultancy.

At its helm, MGroup takes the lead as the interior design consultancy arm, offering interior design consultancy services, including project management, QS with contract management, and facilities management. To date, MGroup has successfully achieved over S$200 million in project value for its design consultancy projects. Within the group, Mi Associates is an international interior practice specialising in commercial design for turnkey projects, covering pre-lease assessments, site feasibility studies, M&E and IT services, electrical design, test-fit layout planning, interior design, space planning, procurement, construction, project management, migration management, and workplace safety, including COVID-19 site management. The firm has delivered over S$80 million in design and build projects.

Alexis’ strong aesthetic sense, attention to technical details, and exceptional project management capabilities have earned him accolades and well-established relationships with high-profile clients. With partnerships spanning 10 to 20 years on multiple projects, his clientele includes Maybank, Maybank Kim Eng, OCBC Bank, IPSOS, Finexis Advisory, and China Taiping Insurance. Notably, Maybank is his longest-standing client. In November 2024, MGroup successfully completed the upgrade of the Maybank Tower main grand lobby and banking hall. Beyond his work in Singapore, Alexis has also provided international design consultancy for Maybank, overseeing the bank’s office setups in Singapore, Myanmar, China, and Cambodia.

Over the years, Alexis’ designs have garnered multiple awards, including the Singapore BCA Green Mark Platinum Gold Plus for the offices of Air Liquide. Additionally, his works on ARINC and Future Electronics offices were nominated for the President’s Design Award. He has also received honours such as the Singapore 2011 Outstanding Enterprise Award and the Singapore Trust Brand 2015. In 2025, MGroup won four Global Design Awards (GDA) for these remarkable projects: Ricoh Asia Pacific in Singapore, CIMB Front of House, CIMB Marketplace, and CIMB Bank Express Digital Kiosk.
