Introduction
MGroup was commissioned by Maybank Kim Eng Securities (MKES) to oversee the comprehensive interior and MEP design, along with contract and project management, for four MKES office locations in Singapore. Spanning Suntec Tower 2 (28,000 sqft), Gateway West (17,000 sqft), and two adjoining sites at 50 and 48 North Canal Road (a combined 17,000 sqft), this large-scale project involved relocating 314 employees within a tight three-month timeframe—an ambitious challenge that was met with outstanding success.
High Adaptability
The new MKES offices reflect MGroup’s focus on adaptable, flexible spaces tailored to meet diverse corporate needs. Meeting rooms are equipped with an acoustic fabric operable wall system, allowing three mid-sized rooms to transform into one large boardroom as needed. In addition, a double-layer acoustic glass wall system ensures sound control while enabling the space to open up for town hall events.
Branding Expertise
The interiors also thoughtfully incorporate Maybank’s branding with gold-tinted mirrors and specially designed carpets featuring dynamic gold accents. Ceilings are spray-painted with linear planes for a sleek finish, complemented by a custom Ballaso ceiling element that adds a touch of interest. A moss-like green wall further enriches the space with a calming biophilic element.

Impressed by MGroup’s professionalism and efficiency which enabled the successful completion of the project ahead of schedule and within budget, MKES engaged the design team for a second phase of work at 50 and 48 North Canal Road (3,555 sqft), underscoring the trust established through this successful collaboration.
