Designing for Productivity:
Ipsos’ Future-ready Workspace

Ipsos

Client: IPSOS
Floor size: 14,000 sq ft

Introduction

As a global leader in market research, Ipsos requested a workspace that promotes productivity and reflects its forward-thinking ethos. MGroup, engaged for the second time by Ipsos, achieved this through a meticulously planned layout and custom-crafted elements that redefine the modern office experience with an Activity-Based Working (ABW) concept.

Smart Layout for Efficiency

At its core, the layout is organised around a central axis, connecting key work zones to enhance flow and circulation. In addition, natural light coming through the expansive stretch of windows is used to its full potential, keeping the workspace bright and energy-efficient throughout the day.

Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by striking views of the Singapore Flyer, which frame the reception area. Here, the space is anchored by a sleek, curvilinear counter and a wood-slat feature wall displaying the Ipsos logo. Adjacent boardrooms are designed with operable walls allowing two rooms to be merged into a larger space for up to 30 people.

Similar to the first office that we designed for Ipsos, we also adopted an ABW approach for their new office to create a flexible environment that supports diverse work styles. By offering a variety of workspaces—ranging from collaborative zones to private meeting rooms—employees can choose a space that best suits their tasks.

Work & Rejuvenate

Beyond reception, the e-Café serves as a transitory space for informal meetings and refreshments. Featuring various seating options, the e-Café incorporates movable furniture to enable quick reconfiguration for town hall events. From the e-Café, the workspace opens into the main working area, where unique hexagonal desk configurations with trees planted in the middle complement the open layout, encouraging interaction and teamwork.

The office also features high-performance acoustic double-layer glass in meeting rooms, ensuring soundproofing while allowing light to flow freely. A warm wood palette throughout, with vinyl flooring and wood slats, creates a pleasant work environment that fosters productivity and collaboration.
