Fusion of Elegance:
Shenghong’s Office Reflects Global Vision & Tradition
Introduction
Specialising in petrochemicals, and associated logistics, Shenghong Petrochemical International Pte. Ltd., sought a headquarters that would reflect its corporate strength while embracing a modern, forward-thinking outlook.
The Art of Simplicity
Adopting a "less is more" philosophy, the workspace emphasises luxury and simplicity with a material palette dominated by pristine, book-matched marble that flows seamlessly from the floor to the feature wall in the reception area. Subtle Oriental accents are integrated into this contemporary backdrop. For instance, a striking ceiling feature, inspired by a Chinese lantern, incorporates the company’s logo, establishing a strong visual connection to Singapore’s iconic architectural landscape.
The reception area offers spectacular views of Marina Bay Sands through full-height glass windows. Next to it, acoustic double-glazed glass walls ensure privacy for meeting rooms while maintaining a sense of transparency throughout the space. A moss wall with fresh floral displays brings a natural element into the guest lounge.
“We aimed to design a space that feels authentically aligned with Shenghong’s identity, while also drawing inspiration from Singapore’s iconic architecture. Each element, from the materials to the layout, was carefully selected to reflect the company’s strength, elegance, and global vision.
Form Follows Function
The office is designed for both functionality and security, with automated access points, including face-recognition-enabled doors. In addition, the flexible meeting rooms, which accommodate up to 28 people through operable walls, further reflect the office's adaptability.
The main boardroom features a focal wall displaying a world map, symbolising Shenghong’s expansive global network, while a unique lighting piece made from stone creates a stately yet inviting atmosphere. The CEO’s office, overlooking City Hall and the F1 circuit, combines corporate formality with comfort. To ensure cohesiveness, every piece of furniture was carefully selected in collaboration with Shenghong’s team in Shanghai.
