CIMB Bank Main Branch:
A Refined Space Crafted Around the Customer Experience

CIMB Bank - Common Banking Hall

Client: CIMB Bank Berhad
Location: 30 Raffles Place, Singapore

Introduction

CIMB Bank Main Branch on Level 3 offers a modern, customer-centric space designed for seamless financial transactions. The interior combines functionality with a sophisticated aesthetic that optimises workflow, ensuring efficiency even during peak hours.

Intuitive Access

From the lobby, customers are greeted by a bold red lightbox with the logo against a pristine marble white backdrop, enhancing brand recognition and guiding visitors intuitively. An ATM near the entrance provides quick access to essential services, streamlining foot traffic within the hall. A concierge counter at the entrance serves as the main assistance point.

Elevated Ambience

Inside, the space features a sleek, contemporary aesthetic with a polished white marble palette. A standout feature wall, crafted from book-matched marble, forms a diamond shape inspired by branding guidelines, serving as both an artistic statement and a visual anchor. Teller counters are seamlessly integrated beyond the concierge counter, maintaining a smooth service flow. The open ceiling with an acoustic trellis enhances spaciousness while reducing noise. In the centre, a lounge with dynamic-patterned carpeting and custom sofas adds a refined touch, while a secluded manager’s cubicle with wood finishes and a moss wall introduces warmth and exclusivity.

"We wish to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to your company for undertaking and coordinating the successful completion of our new office premises at 30 Raffles Place. You have acted as a project manager to help ensure that the design and build elements of the project blended well together. Without your keen attention to detail and the hardworking presence of your team members, this project would not have met the tight deadlines set out.

As a good example, the weekly project meetings helped to ensure that the whole list of members involved, ranging from the consultants, main contractor, vendors, our internal project team and the business unit representatives, worked as a team to complete the project successfully. This was no small achievement, considering the challenges we faced, operating in a Covid-19 environment, with labour and materials constraints as well as shipping delays, which rendered our task a difficult one. We are very pleased with the final outcome, attested to by our staff’s expression of delight of the new workplace environment and thank you for a job well done."
