Lasting Impressions:
Fresh Details and Bright Spaces Elevate Amcor’s Head Office
Introduction
In 2020, MGroup was appointed by Amcor Flexibles Singapore Pte Ltd to deliver the interior fit-out of their new office at Tuas Bay Drive. Nestled beside the factory within an industrial building, the office needed to go beyond functionality — serving as a modern, people-focused environment while intentionally avoiding an industrial look.
Sophisticated Presence
The third-floor lobby establishes the brand presence immediately with a welcoming holding area and a striking AMCOR branding wall featuring their Asia business map. A collaboration seating area in front of the boardroom provides an informal space for pre-meeting discussions. Just beyond the space, the boardroom is enclosed in double-layer acoustic glass with the Amcor logo expressed as a frosted privacy detail. Inside, blue fabric wall panels that tie in with the company’s corporate colour scheme while a large-format feature wall in bold tones adds contrast against the neutral, refined palette.
High Performance
A key priority was to deliver a comfortable and well-planned workspace. Planter boxes separate workstations, introducing a refreshing sense of greenery while defining zones naturally. Simultaneously, generous glazing allows natural light to flow through. Heavy-duty homogeneous tiles in a beige tone were also chosen for their durability, balanced with timber furnishings and accents in Amcor’s signature blue and grey.
“This move to our Tuas Bay Drive office is of significant importance to our company and our employees. MGroup has contributed to creating a wonderful space for our employees to work in. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the final outcome of the office fit-out. Despite the regulatory changes and COVID-19-related restrictions that impeded the project progress initially, MGroup still managed to successfully deliver this project on time. This was largely attributed to the attention to detail, communication between the various sub-contractors, vendors, and internal team, as well as strong project management skills. MGroup has also shown great flexibility in accommodating our requests, especially on short notice.
Expanding the Vision
Following the success of the office, Amcor engaged MGroup again in 2024 to design their Telepresence Room – a showcase for high-impact collaboration. The space features a central meeting zone, curated product displays, and a large window overlooking the factory’s production line.
